This custom-designed manual tool cuts HardiePlank® siding quickly and accurately every time with no breaking, chipping or sawdust. Similar to a laminate floor guillotine in design, the cutting movement is stiffly controlled to enable safe, precise cutting and trimming.

HardieBacker® Score-and-snap-knife

HardieBacker Score-and-snap-knife

Designed with contractors and home owners in mind this simple yet effective hand tool is perfect for accurate straight cuts on all James Hardie® cement boards up to 12mm thick. It’s thick, sturdy handle, and a long-lasting blade with tungsten carbide tips produces a V-cut so that upward pressure on the board allows you to easily snap it along the cut

HardieBlade® circular saw

HardieBlade circular saw

Specially designed to reduce dust levels, the diamond tipped teeth increase blade life and ensure a clean cut every time. Using continuous disk or wood blades causes excessive levels of dust, very fast blade wear, and is not recommended. HardieBlade® circular saw blade is available in 160mm, 190mm, 254mm and 305mm diameters, to fit most mains electric and battery powered circular saws.

Touch-up paint

An alkaline-resistant acrylic paint, colour-matched to the James Hardie ColorPlus® range is recommended for painting of exposed edges and cut ends of HardiePlank®, HardiePanel® & HardieFlex siding products to ensure long-lasting performance of the façade. It provides excellent coverage in a single layer and dries quickly, saving precious building time. Touch-up paint is available in 1 litre cans.

James Hardie screws

A range of purpose-made fixings for James Hardie® siding products and backerboards.

James Hardie® screws for HardieBacker® cement board

Self countersinking, they cut a shaped hole in the fibre cement board, so that as the screw is tightened, the head finishes flush with the surface of the board.
For wood frames : 5.0 x 32 mm, diameter head 10 mm. P2.
For metal frames : 4.8 x 30 mm, diameter head 10 mm. P2.

Stainless steel A2 austenitic screws for HardiePanel® siding

With coloured heads matched to the ColorPlus® Technology range. No pre-drilling is required.

For wood frames : 4.8 x 38 mm, diameter head 12 mm. Torx 20.

Manufactured from high-quality coated aluminium, these Zed-profiles are installed to protect the horizontal HardiePanel® siding joints. They are available in 3000mm lengths in a range of matching colours and are easily cut using a hacksaw or chop saw with a metal blade.

EPDM Tape

As an alternative to mastic sealant James Hardie recommends the use of this high quality EPDM tape for sealing behind HardieTrim® siding to HardiePlank® siding, HardiePlank® siding butt joints and vertical joints between HardiePanel® boards. This product is available in a 60mm x 20m roll or 100mm x 20m roll in black.

Fibatape

This alkaline-resistant, glass-fibre mesh reinforcing tape is perfect for jointing and reinforcing joints on HardieBacker® 250 and HardieBacker® 500 cement board. This product is available in rolls of 50 mm x 15 m.
