Best of both strength and usability
We’ve found the perfect balance between high-quality Portland cement, sand and cellulose fibre to deliver lightweight, easy-to-cut cladding that installs firm and fast.

Superior dimensional stability
Our cladding is engineered at the microscopic level to create a robust fibre cement composite that doesn’t shrink or split.

Non-combustible cladding
Hardie® Plank cladding stands strong even in the most extreme adverse events. Our weatherboards are non-combustible, achieving the highest rating possible (A2, s1-d0) for a coloured facade product. Hardie® Plank has been extensively fire tested under the 13501-1 suite of fire tests for CE compliance, and would not contribute to the propagation of fire.

We sell a range of specialist tools designed to cut our products quickly, effectively and with a minimum of dust. The best are hand tools like the HardieGuillotine™ which is available from your distributor. Always use approved safety glasses and appropriate EN approved respiratory protection (PPE #2 or #3) for particulate hazards when working with Hardie® Plank cladding and HardieTrim™ NT3.
The plastic film helps protect the finish from damage during transportation, storage and installation. We would suggest that it is removed last thing, starting from the top edge down as the fixings are inserted.
A clearance of 150 mm should be maintained between the bottom edge of the lowest layer of Hardie® Plank and Hardie® Panel cladding and any unpaved ground. This will allow for clearance when soil is back-filled against the foundations and footings and prevent the bottom plank being damaged by contact with soil and rainwater splashing up the wall.
James Hardie saw blade is available in 160, 190, 254 and 305 mm.
The 160 blades have 20 mm bore with a reducer taking it to 16 mm.
The 190 blades have 30 mm bore with a reducer taking it to 20 mm.
On the 254 and 305 mm blades they have a 30 mm bore and no reducer.
